Taking a stand...Culture, Sex, and Abortion.

This is a very sobering post.  Very near and dear to my heart, but one that is often not shared openly so use caution with the younger ones.  I will be using appropriate terminology.  This may be a post you will want to save for after you have had the birds and the bees talk with your son and/or daughter...and have explained things such as contraceptives and abortion.

That being said...
WHAT is happening in our society?  How have we come to the place where we are silent?  Parents, where are you?
Where should we stand on Premarital sex, condoms and birth control, abortion, and sex-ed...
This post is very broad.
Premarital Sex
I will be talking about this first, because all the other topics I have to hit on usually stem from sex outside of marriage.
Most of you know that I have committed to staying pure....furthermore, it is my personal conviction to save even my first kiss for my husband.  Purity, though, is not just a conviction, but also because it is a command from God...
1 Thessalonians 4:3-5
"For this is the will of God, your sanctification hat you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust, like the gentiles who do not know God."
 Hebrews 13:4
"Let the marriage bed be held in honor among all, an let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous."
and there are so many more!!
God intended for sex to be pure and healthily shared between a man and his wife.  This is supposed to be a celebrated union, where two people show their affection to one another without committing sin.  But many foolish teens AND adults don't take the Bible's word for it. And end up ruining others, themselves, and sin against God.

80 percent of teenage pregnancies are unplanned.  And the main rise in teenage pregnancy is among girls younger than 15.  67% of teens that have had sexual intercourse wish they had waited.

About 820,000 teens get pregnant each year.  That means that 34% of teens have been pregnant at least once before they are 20.

How many of these teens had premarital sex?
I do believe it is safe to say ALL of them.
If you have been reading my blog for a little while, you know that I encourage NOT only staying away from sin, but also FOR pursuing righteousness so in this case it would not just being abstinent, but it would also be pursuing purity...  for more on this topic please refer to this earlier post Here!

PARENTS!!  Do not wait to talk to your children.  First and foremost, model a Godly marriage.  My parents gross me out all the time, BUT, really, they are showing us daily what this is supposed to look like.  Secondly, the, dare-I-say, SEX talk is NOT a foreign language.  If you are not talking openly to your children, someone else is or will...especially if they attend public school.  Daddies should be teaching their sons to respect a lady...EVEN in body.  Yes, some women are scandalous in dress, but help them...TEACH them to train their eyes.  MODEL THIS!! Show your daughters how they are to be loved by the way you love them and their mother.  Mamas, teach your daughters their worth...MODEL MODESTY!!!
Where are your children?

To you young adults reading this:
Are you dating?  Are you ready to be married?  What are you giving...throwing away, that you should be keeping for your future spouse?  If you haven't thought about it, do so now!  Make goals, go to scripture.  Talk to your parents.  Stay solid in your convictions...set up boundaries.  You don't need to be alone with the opposite sex, it just invites temptation. What are you watching?  What is written in your text messages?
If you are reading this a little is never too LATE to find restoration.  Make a change God in His word.  Be courageous.

We need to be that generation to rise up.  No more cowards...
Never surrender.
Live to the glory of the LORD!

My next issue is the use of condoms and birth control...
Because I don't want to make this post a year long, I would URGE you to research any method you are thinking of to "prevent" pregnancy.  Do NOT just trust your doctors or friends.   Read the fine lines!!

"My people perish for lack of knowledge."
Hosea 4:6

Birth Control...the birth control pill, morning after pill, etc... ARE abortificants. is a great source.
Although condom, vasectomy, and tubal ligations are not considered "abortificants"  because they strictly PREVENT pregnancy,  this is going against scripture pertaining to the sanctity of life.

Sanctity of Life:
The phrase sanctity of life refers to the idea that human life is sacred and holy, argued mainly by the pro-life side in political and moral debates over such controversial issues as abortion, contraception, euthanasia, and embryonic stem cell research.

Genesis 1:27
"So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them."

Jeremiah 1:5
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations."

Psalm 136:13-16
"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mothers womb.  I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.  Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.  My frame was not hidden to you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.  Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were, when as yet there none of them."

Psalm 127:3
"Behold, children are an heritage of the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward."

Although contraceptives are not considered abortion, it is going against God's design for marriage, and is giving teens a "safeguard" so as to perform this sacred ritual outside of wedlock.  OH and Sex Ed!!  I don't believe in "sex ed" unless it is the parents doing the "ed".  Some would use the excuse "I don't know how to talk about it.", "I don't know when to talk about it." or "I don't know what to say."  WELL, I can assure you that my parents are no scholars...they may not have been graceful in the way they dropped the bomb (my dad may or may not have referred to a buck in the rut when speaking with Abraham), but they got the job done.
Even teaching your children about safe sex is ridiculous.  There is no such thing as "safe sex".  Outside of marriage, it destroys lives, robs future spouses of the whole heart of the one they marry.  And even worse, it is one of the leading causes of murder.
Death by detachment, scissors to the skull or poison...of a baby.
So please pray about this...  I cannot change your view on the subjects above, but God can.  And so I pray that if you are active or are condoning others in these "activities", that you would pray and seek God's guidance through His holy Word on these issues.

There are LOTS of scripture references I could add to this.  It is a controversial subject even among believers.  I firmly believe in the Lord deciding my family is my personal conviction as I study the Word.  I trust Him much more than I trust myself!!

That leads me to my next issue...  Probably the hardest one for me.

Definition of abortion:
"The removal of an embryo (A BABY) or fetus (A BABY) from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy."

The ever battle between good and evil.
Definition of pro-life
"Being opposed to legalized abortion."
Definition of pro choice
"Supporting or advocating legalized abortion."-
If you are a "Christian" you probably know about the abortion issue.  I think this and the homosexuality issue are the number one issues on the Christian's plate right now.

Abortion is rampant across the world, Because it is an easy way to get rid of a fetus (fetus is the Latin word for baby...the entire English language is derived from Latin).

There are about 820,000 teens that get pregnant each year (   And 35% of teenagers have an abortion rather than keeping the baby(  That is about 250,000 abortions committed by TEENS each year...

Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust

Do you know who Margaret Sanger is?
Look her up.
Just a couple of her quotes:
"The most merciful thing that the large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it."
"We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities.  The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."

She is the founder of Planned Parenthood.

There are many ways to abort a baby...  I will show you just a few compared to the baby's age and what that little human baby has developed...

Manual Vacuum Aspiration: within 7 weeks after last menstrual period Dilators (metal rods) are used to stretch the cervical muscle until the opening is wide enough for abortion instruments to pass through the uterus. A hand-held syringe is attached to tubing, which is inserted into the uterus. The fetus is suctioned out.
D & E (Dilation and Evacuation): within 13-24 weeks after last menstrual periodThe fetus literally doubles in size between the 11th and 12th weeks of pregnancy. Soft cartilage hardens into bone at 16 weeks, making the fetus too large and strong to pass through a suction tube. The D & E procedure begins by inserting laminaria a day or two before the abortion, opening the cervix wide to accommodate the larger fetal size. The abortionist then both tears and cuts the fetus and uses the vacuum machine to extract its remains. Because the skull is too large to be suctioned through the tube, it must be crushed by forceps for removal. Pieces must be extracted very carefully because the jagged, sharp pieces of the broken skull could easily cut the cervix.

Late Term Abortion...which is now illegal but it is a type of abortion that our current President endorsed:
Partial-birth abortion is a term that refers to a procedure called dilation & extraction. In a partial-birth/dilation & extraction abortion, a late second or third trimester baby is delivered feet first and the head is held within the mother’s birth canal. Surgical scissors or a syringe is used to pierce the exposed back of the neck, and then the skull contents (i.e. the brain) are suctioned out through a tube.

It is now illegal to do abortions this way. However, abortions are still done in the second and third trimester. They are now done either by dismemberment (D&E) or by injecting digoxin, a potent poison, into the amniotic sac or directly into the baby’s body.
A few "heart-string" arguments for abortion are due to rape, disability of the child, or endangerment of the mother.

All of these are hard, yes.  And  do not want to downplay the struggle and life-long effects that this will have on the lives of those making the decision, BUT it is another LIFE you are making a life-ENDING decision FOR.

“Thou shalt not kill” (Exodus 20:13, Deuteronomy 5:17)

Want a shocker?  Visit:

As of right now, there have been over 47,000 abortions in the United States just in 2015...and we haven't even ended the first month.
With a heavy heart, I will leave you with that.
God bless and praying that my generation will rise to the occasion.

In Christ, Gabrielle
